About the Role

PSG is seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Engineer to join our team in developing and supporting an AI/ML application suite for federal government customers. As an AI/ML Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing machine learning algorithms and models that can support the development of said suite of products. You must be comfortable working with large language models, retraining models, and working with large datasets.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement machine learning algorithms and models that can support the development of a suite of application-specific products

  • Work with the team to develop natural language understanding (NLU) models that can be used in training

  • Develop and implement deep learning algorithms for speech recognition and natural language processing (NLP)

  • Retrain models to improve their accuracy and efficiency

  • Work with large datasets to identify patterns and trends that can be used to improve the product’s performance

  • Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that the digital assistant meets the needs of federal government customers

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field

  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing machine learning algorithms and models

  • Experience working with large language models, retraining models, and large datasets

  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java

  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch

  • Familiarity with NLP and speech recognition

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Comfortable working with federal government customers and within their security requirements

  • Demonstrate ownership and responsibility in all work products

  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to identify and elevate problems to the right people early

  • Strong organizational, time-management, analytical, and critical thinking skills

  • Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills

  • Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required

  • Self-motivated learner – loves to learn
